In this guide you will find instructions for installing and using Spatineo Discovery on your ArcGIS Pro.

Spatineo Discovery is built as an add-in for ArcGIS Pro and designed for effortless installation. You will need to have Esri ArcGIS Pro installed on your local machine. Versions 3.5 and 3.6 are supported.

1. Login to your profile page on spatineodiscovery.ai

Spatineo Discovery add-in can be downloaded from the profile page.

2. Installing the add-in

Open the downloaded file and click “Install Add-In”. After that Spatineo Discovery is installed on Your ArcGIS Pro.

Note: It is preferable to close ArcGIS Pro before installing the add-in. If ArcGIS Pro is open during the installation process, restart is required for the add-in to become available.

3. Opening the Discovery Add-In in ArcGIS Pro

After installation the Discovery button will appear on the Map tab. Clicking on the Discovery button will open the add-in.

4. Login in for authentication

After clicking on the Discovery button on the ribbon you will see the Discovery search dockpane on the right side of the map. When you submit your first query, you will be asked to log in to spatineodiscovery.ai for authentication.

After logging into spatineodiscovery.ai you can continue using the add-in.

You will be prompted with a “Login failed” message if time logging in exceeds the add-in’s timeout. To restart the login process, send a new spatial analysis query and you will be asked to login again.

Using Spatineo Discovery®

After successfully logging in you can send your spatial analysis and you will be presented with suggested data categories and relevant datasets. By changing the data category you can refine the results on the dataset list. You can also refine the results by checking the “Prefer my current map area” checkbox to get datasets that match your current map view.

The selected dataset can be added to the project with the “Add to map” button. Some features are greyed out as they will be implemented in following versions of Spatineo Discovery.

Minimum length requirement for query is 10 and the maximum length is 1000 characters.

By default Spatineo Discovery search will open as a docked pane. You can float the dockpane by clicking on the Options menu in the top row and by clicking Float.

You can login to the Spatineo Discovery Account & Settings page from ArcGIS Pro with the button below.
